Trigeminal neuralgia is a grave and debilitating disorder affecting the trigeminal nerve, also known as the 5th pair of our 12 pairs of cranial nerves.

Commonly referred to as TGN, trigeminal neuralgia can involve attacks of extreme aching or burning facial pain, which may occur when one nerve or both in this nerve pair is injured or compressed, or in patients suffering from multiple sclerosis.
